About this project

Trust is a practice.

NC Hemp Facts is designed as an educational and civic resource. We distinguish verified reporting, analysis, personal stories, and advocacy.

Our editorial commitments

Primary sources first

We prioritize official bill text, legislative actions, agency material, and clearly described datasets.

Labels that mean something

Analysis, personal stories, and advocacy are identified so readers can distinguish them from verified facts.

Visible corrections

Material errors are corrected promptly with a note describing what changed and when.

Independence and disclosure

NC Hemp Facts was created by a North Carolina hemp-business owner who is also a member of CBHD, an organization involved in hemp education and advocacy. This relationship informs our understanding of the industry but does not replace independent verification.

Advocacy material from CBHD or any other organization is identified clearly. Legislative claims are checked against official bill language, and economic figures are published with their source, date, scope, and methodology.

Our policy position

NC Hemp Facts supports adult-only sales, licensing, independent testing, secure packaging, accurate labeling, and meaningful enforcement. We oppose policies that use consumer protection as justification for eliminating responsible adult businesses and products.

Educational content is not legal or medical advice.

Stay informed

Get the signal, not the noise.

Occasional, plain-English updates when North Carolina hemp policy materially changes.
